The main motivation for following up my education in economics with an more profound understanding of human psychology came out of the realization that the premise of the homo economicus, who only makes purely rational decisions, was a severely limiting factor in explaining the reality of daily life.

As an entrepreneur I was responsible for running a multinational company. With over 300 employees to manage, and while building lasting relationships with colleagues and clients, I honed my managerial and interpersonal skills.
My professional life gave me first hand experience in all aspects of business and industry, ranging from sourcing, production, finance and human resources to marketing and sales; all within an international context and in all the different phases of a company's life cycle.
It was a tough decision to close down the manufacturing plants that had been in continuous operation for 67 years. This made me all the more aware of the difficulty and need to reconcile the strictly rational elements with the more personal, underlying emotional aspects of doing business.
Building on this professional background and looking for a way to further integrate my talents & qualifications into my professional career, I chose to apply myself fully to the coaching profession.
